Virtual Reality breakthrough in Osama's Angel

In an in depth article on Virtual Reality, the Economist magazine confirms the existance of the technology used in the interrogation of Osama bin Laden after he was captured at Abbottabad.

My book, Osama's Angel describes a virtual reality whole-body capsule that imparts not only 3D imaging and sterio sound to the subject, but all of the sensations that a flight simulator provides. This coupled to aromas and G Forces gives the subject a full menu of physical sensations that convince him that he is experiencing a reality quite removed from his actual circumstances.

The accuracy of the descriptions in the book are surprising, given the newness of the technology.

The nausea suffered by users of the most state-of-the-art machines is one of the factors mentioned in Osama's Angel. Here it was remedied by supplying an intravenous cocktail of anti-nausea and mild halucinogenics to the subject. Something a little drastic to consider for the geneal public.

The coupling of the headset to the high-definition camera in an arial drone is an extension to the current concept and no doubt will be studied by US developers in the near future.
